Irene Foster

Mrs. Irene Foster, 69 of Honey Grove died July 18, 1993.

Funeral services for Mrs Foster were held at 16th Street Baptist Church in Honey Grove at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 1993. Rev Enos R. Spencer, pastor, officiated. Maple Lawn Mortuary of Dallas was in charge of arrangements with Rose J. Henderson directing. Interment was made in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Honey Grove.

Pallbearers were friends of the family.

Mrs. Foster was born in Honey Grove March 19, 1924, a daughter of the late Jordan and Dollisha Gray. She moved to Dallas at an early age and joined the New Samarian Baptist Church. She was a member there until she moved back to her hometown, Honey Grove, and here she became a member of the 16th Street Baptist Church. She was the third of four children. She was a very sweet loving devoted person and always had a smile. Her husband Stayden Foster preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Eva Jean Gillespie and Wanda Collins; one son, William H. Cummings; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister Annie Mae McKnight and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
