William Suiter Henslee, 2nd son of John Payne Henslee and Sarah Suiter was born in North Carolina 12 Dec 1815 and died sometime after the 1870 census in Fannin county, TX. He was named for his maternal Grandfather, William Elliott Suiter. Wm. S. Henslee never married.

According to the cemetery transcripton recorded by Floy Crandall Hodge, William S. Henslee was b. 1815 and died 1870. We know that William appears in the 1870 census and can see the word "Nov" on the stone. Combining all this information, we suggest that William may have died in November of 1870.

Although William never married, he adopted the two young children left upon the early death of his sister Sarah Ann Henslee Rush (wife of James Martin (Bud) Rush) and made them his legal heirs.
